The Truth:

Most construction workers have some college education and are viewed as skilled craft professional. Construction is one of the only industries where most employers continually pay for training to help advance their employees career. The Construction Industry is aging; the average age of today’s skilled craft professional is nearly 50. The industry needs HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of trained men and women every year just to meet the replacement needs. ABC also provides OSHA 10 training and CPR/First Aid certification to all Apprentices in the program.  Additional Benefits: Our graduate Apprentices at Hillsborough Community College receive 27 college credit hours (almost half of the required 60 credit hours) toward an A.S. Degree at Hillsborough Community College.
