Who Is A YP?
A young professional is anyone employed by an ABC member company in good standing who is under the age of 40. ABC established the Young Professionals program to develop the next generation of ABC leaders and encourage networking among the “best and brightest” up-and-comers in construction.
Why Participate In Young Professionals?
Our Young Professionals group, operating in both the Tampa Bay area and the Fort Myers area, provides the opportunity for you to network, and build relationships with, other individuals who are at the same place in their career. These relationships will be integral as you progress within the industry and your career. Our YP group also allows for expansive industry exposure and opportunities for community involvement. Peer Groups and Mentoring are another aspect of our YP group that we hope continues to provide knowledge and resources to the next wave of construction professionals.

We will strive to create awareness of, and strengthen, the core principles of the merit shop philosophy to ensure the viability and growth of future leadership within ABC and the construction industry.
YP Mission
Our mission is to promote and encourage the participation and involvement of young, industry professionals by creating a platform to build relationships with peers, for professional development, volunteering and community involvement opportunities, and share best practices.

How To Register
Register by filling out the form below.
Non-Member YP Information
The Non-Member Young Professional (YP) registration allows individuals from non-ABC member companies to participate in Young Professional programs for one (1) year.
After one year, the individual’s company must join ABC for continued YP participation.
Additional Guidelines:
- Each company may register only one (1) Non-Member YP prior to becoming an ABC member.
- Companies may not register Non-Member YPs year after year without joining ABC.
- Non-Member YPs may participate in select YP programs only and are not eligible to attend YP networking or social events.
- General ABC chapter events are not included with Non-Member YP registration.
