ABC Florida Gulf CoastWhat Is NEXGEN & Who Should Apply
The NEXGEN Leadership Training Program is an 8-month series designed to enhance the leadership skills and industry knowledge of high-potential construction professionals employed by an ABC member company. Through monthly educational sessions that incorporate leadership training, relationship building and community involvement activities, ABC’s NEXGEN program prepares professionals for current, and future, leadership roles within the construction industry and ABC.
NEXGEN is an avenue for promising industry leaders of tomorrow to spark their leadership, teamwork, and creative abilities. Applicants must have decision making ability within their organization and have been in the industry for at least one year.

Program Commitment
Participants, and their nominating supervisor, agree to adhere to the NEXGEN Leadership Training Program Rules of Engagement.
Attendance at all classes is expected. Participants who miss more than one (1) program day will be dropped without refund of tuition and nominating supervisor will be notified.
Cell phone and tablet/computer use during classes is prohibited. Small breaks will be provided throughout
each class should you need to make or return phone calls.
The commitment to the NEXGEN program extends beyond the scheduled class dates. This commitment includes meeting in smaller groups outside of the class, getting engaged with the NEXGEN Alumni base and attending ABC events.
Application Process
All applications, supporting materials and application fee must be submitted by the application deadline date. Incomplete applications will not be accepted and the application deadline will not be extended.
An ‘Application Worksheet’ is available, and recommended to use, to work through answers before submitting online. Please refer to our informational packet for additional application details and requirements.
ABC members companies may submit two applicants, however, only one participant per company may be selected.
After all completed applications are received, they will be reviewed by the NEXGEN Committee. Selected applications will move on to the interview phase of the process. Once all interviews have been conducted, the NEXGEN Committee will make the class selections. Class size is limited to no more than 30 participants.
